  1. >A top Hamas official, who [promised to repeat the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel](https://themessenger.com/news/hamas-official-promises-repeat-october-7-massacre-until-israel-annihilated), thanked Canada, Australia and New Zealand on Wednesday for backing the United Nations’ ceasefire resolution.

    >“Despite the United States’ position, the Hamas movement is watching the growing cause by several Western governments to end the aggression on Gaza,” Hamad said in English. “We welcome these developments and consider them in the right direction towards isolation the fascist Israeli government globally and ending the long evil occupation in our modern time.”

  2. I would be ashamed of my government if Hamas thanked them for anything.

  3. Canada is a safe haven for terrorists. Of course they will get credits from terrorists.

  4. Lot of plumber jobs opened up for former Hamas guys in Canada.

  5. As an Aussie fuck Hamas! I don’t like the all the civilian deaths but what is Israel to do? If it had happened to my country I would want to the whole area leveled. the bit the really surprises me is it has been proven time and time again that you do not fuck with Israel like how many times do the IDF need to fuck shit up before people learn to leave them the fuck alone.

  6. Ill shout anyone im with a beer if israel merks this cunt, ill shout the bar if a Palestinian does it

  7. The ceasefire was a call to support Palastinian civilians not Hamas. He’s trying cause a rift and twisting words. These countries would happily and willingly drop a bomb on these Hamas leaders.

  8. I’m from Canada, I do not support a ceasefire because it does nothing but encourage terrorists to take more hostages to abuse and torture and eventually trade back some to get another ceasefire as soon as their backs are against the wall again.

A ceasefire is just another way of saying that enough lives have not been lost to this conflict yet and we should stop fighting temporarily so we don’t reach the end of the conflict as quickly as we could.

  9. As usual – kill Israelis to provoke military response, cry out to the world for help, get help – repeat.

I don’t know if this is white guilt or western savior complex, but a ceasefire is only a pause for violence, not a solution. Hamas must learn their ways are counterproductive.

  10. As long as Hamas are keeping hostages then no-one can expect a ceasefire. And who knows if they’re all still alive, as well as the stories they’ll tell of the abuse endured.

  11. “I was thanked by a terrorist! I must be doing something right, right?”

  12. Nothing to see here.

They are catering to the Muslim extremist voter base they imported over the last 30 years or so. Just look at the pro-Hamas protests each of these countries had after the terrorist attack in October.

  13. when will all the useful idiots on protest marches have their “are we the bad guys?” moment

all a ceasefire does is help hamas.

  14. is this the right side of history I’ve been hearing about?

  15. And then the people sitting safely in their homes in Europe and America are wondering why Israel doesn’t agree for another ceasefire (we all know what happened last time, Hamas broke the ceasefire after 15 minutes)

  16. Playing into the terrorists hands. They hide behind civilians and attack and talk about how they will do it even more. Then when the blow back comes they have the cowardly cheek to thank people for asking for a ceasefire.

You sow the seeds and unleash the whirlwind.

Maybe the terrorists should stop hiding behind their people and fight like the ‘lions’ they claim to be.althoygh that’s hard when they aren’t kids dancing I know…

  17. No one is doing it for him. Fuck Hamas, Fuck Netanyahu. Stop killing children on either side

  18. As a Canadian I’m so disappointed with the liberals. Allow palastine protestors to wear Hamas gear and threaten cops at protests and this garage embarrassing. Can’t wait to vote him out.

Doesn’t help canadians quality of life in every measurement has plummeted since he got elected.

  19. It’s all about regroupjng and retrying with Hamas…not peace

  20. It’s all politics, with a vast amount of people who just wanted to get on with their lives killed.

  21. Idk what the Australian government was intending exactly with this, but I believe it’s to appeal to a large base of their voters that have fallen the Hamas rhetoric.
Yes, I want peace in this region, but not a ceasefire that only benefits Hamas. I hope Israel meets their military objectives quickly, so the killing and instability can let up sooner. But they’ve taken on a huge task here that to end now would be worse than doing nothing.

If 1300 Australians were massaced and our prime minister did anything less than what Israel is doing, I can’t see Australians being any less than fucking skitz at the flog
