2. Why didn’t he leave in the summer? Lot more time to find a new club and get a deal done in that window

4. Definitely don’t want him at Newcastle. When we’re at full strength, midfield is our most stacked position. Aye, we don’t have a Phillips type player but we’ve been doing fine without one.

6. I’m not opposed to having him on the squad but you would think that means someone would have to leave, not sure who though.

7. I wonder how well he’d fair under Arteta. I know very little about him playing style wise so might be square peg and round hole.

   We do need a 6 for depth – Partey should be gone and Jorgi will likely leave either this summer or next and El Neny’s contract is up at the end of the season meaning there is a gap there to be filled.
