It’s nearly Christmas and a bit windy. That’s enough for London transport to shut down.
Glad we cancelled the alternative route out of Euston!
It’s the most wonderful time of the yeeeeeeear
International travel strikes scheduled to target Christmas travel really sucks. Can’t imagine going home for Christmas to see family and then having the transport cancelled as you’re about to leave, and then trying to find a booking for the next 2 days but of course they’re all gonna be booked up by now. Even ignoring the family part it’s still your Christmas ruined if you planned to go away with a partner.
Here we have to give 2 weeks notice for a strike. Does France not have something like that? Just says “last minute strike” in the article.
On the positive side apparently the Euston issues have been fixed and they’re working through the backlog over the next few hours.
Hmmm if only there was interest from a competitor operator. Oh wait.
Awesome. We are due to go early morn tomorrow , across a couple of countries, and we have hotels booked. Chuffed to bits.
Euston, we have a problem
This country is so fucked up. Lol
I was supposed to travel tonight to Paris and 500km by train tomorrow early morning to my in-laws in France. My travel plans are ruined and I’m unsure if Ouigo will refund our money, even though our inability to travel is literally caused by this Eurostar cancellation.

Same story every year.
