Perhaps they are trying to hide the fact that the actual soldiers are in the area? No dead bodies means that they walked away from that IFV.

There was clearly a misunderstanding as the shop doing the models was told “Make a decoy version of our tank advancing towards Ukrainian positions”. And they just made what those vehicles look like.

These are likely intended to be decoy targets for Ukrainian drones and artillery that simulate how ruzzians ride on the top of their BMPs … Both sides have done the same thing with fighter jets, placing husks of destroyed or scrapped aircraft on the tarmac as decoy targets for kamikaze drones.
