I’ve heard of people paying 450 for a bed in a room with 2 others, and not in the fun way.

The saddest thing, and definitely the main problem, is, no matter the condition and price of rent, there will always be someone who is willing to pay that amount of money for that boxroom.
Jesus, just looking at that place makes me depressed, may as well be in jail.

Although this is in Celbridge, I rented a box room for €370 a month in west Dublin about 10 years ago, so €500 now wouldn’t seem like a huge unrealistic stretch.

I’m in Cork, in a town that’s not the city, bout a half hour by train in fact. That right there is a completely normal (almost good price) in my town.
