  3. it is a very famous melody, but not many are aware that it is a Ukrainian song.
    Please tell everyone that this song is from Ukraine, so that when they hear it on Christmas in the comfort of their homes they will think of Ukrainian soldiers who at the same very moment dying protecting Ukraine and the whole civilized world from tyranny and dictatorship of Putin.

  6. I’m 75, reasonably well educated and traveled, married to a Ukrainian lady for the past 23 years, and until a few years ago, though I’ve known and loved this song for a long time, I did not know of its Ukrainian origin. So enjoy and may good fortune bless Ukraine and its people.
