What’s next? Limassol getting the sustainability award? They are trolling
> Nicosia has been given a “green city award” for “sustainable traffic and transportation” in 2023 by the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education (Cycere).
Sustainable traffic and transportation. Right.
I’ve never heard of CYCERE. This announcement alone speaks volumes as to how serious I should take them as an entity. Oh and having a look at their website:
>
> Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education (CYCERE) was founded by the Holy Church of Limassol in the framework of its pastoral work and its intellectual contribution. By this foundation, Holy Church of Limassol contributes actively to the protection of the Cypriot natural environment and more specifically to the protection of the natural environment of the Akrotiri peninsula.
Ok Church of Limassol, go home, you’re drunk.
Just glancing at their [Comments & Wishes](https://kykpee.org/en/cycere/comments-wishes/) page further shows how serious they are about promoting sustainability and conservation. So, yes, this is a circlejerk between the church
and Yiorkadjis.

The classic circlejerk award.
