Hello, I ordered a Gigabyte motherboard from e-tec.at that had a bent pin. I didn’t have a CPU yet, but I wanted to flash the motherboard with a new BIOS using the Q-FLASH PLUS button so it’d be ready for the new Intel 14th series CPU when I get it. I powered the motherboard using a PSU and all it did was flash for a split second and that’s it. Pressing or holding the Q-FLASH button while the USB with the new BIOS was in did nothing, the LED lights didn’t start blinking at all as they should when BIOS is upgrading. I fixed the bent pin thinking that was the issue, but it wasn’t, it still didn’t work. After I tried to bend it a little bit more, but my tweezers fell onto the socket and unfortunately I bent even more pins.

I returned the motherboard back to e-tec, but they declined the warranty due to mechanical damage and said I should contact Gigabyte instead.

I know I messed up when my tweezers fell and I bent even more pins, but I have the picture with the 1 bent pin which was already present and the motherboard was faulty to begin with.

Is there anything I can do or am I just unlucky? Can I request RMA due to the Q-FLASH button not working, disregarding the mechanical damage/bent pins?
