Turns out the Tory party are paying “Advertising companies” to attack movements they don’t like. Could this be why this subreddit has been brigaded by Unionist trolls over the last 5 months or so?

  1. Not ruling Tory bots out but imho, it’s because previously this subreddit was a bit of an echo chamber. Then what with everything that happened with the SNP, people finally felt comfortable expressing dissenting opinions, and the subreddit reached a tipping point.

Now it’s more representative of Scotland as a whole, rather than just the pro-independence parts of Scotland.

  2. Labour are at it too. There are people on here who’s literal day job is to post anti Scottish government posts.

  3. Are our spammers not pro-labour? even the one with the “no affiliation” flair?

  4. Going by the replies to posts about independence or the SNP, this subreddit has gone from a Pro-independence “echo chamber” to what now seems to be an anti-independence echo chamber within a few months, there’s something rather sinister happening to have such a massive change in such a short space of time. Most replies are not reflective of the views I hear from people around me as a Scottish person living in Scotland. This subreddit gives a totally distorted view of Scottish opinion, in a country where 54% of people support independence according to the latest poll, and that has elected a pro-independence government for the last 14 years.

  5. 1000%. Also why every other UK sub is totally and utterly fucked and why there are people who claim they know Boris Johnsons medical team and he defo had COVID. Odious.
