They will be welcomed with open arms because they are not afraid of hard work
Why would there be a refugee crisis? Ukrainians love their country and are willing to fight and die defending it. Aren’t they? I mean, surely they wouldn’t expect the US to do it for them.
Ukrainians integrate into Portuguese society pretty well, they work and don’t try to force lifestyle changes on the locals.
2022 is THE year for ukrainian refugee cuties, boys, we’re all going to make it!!!
I know three Ukrainians. Nice people
Russia would invade only some eastern parts of Ukraine so there would still be enough safe territory for the displaced people. But still, few people would have a problem with Ukrainian migrants as they are good, hardworking and would adapt quickly.
It’s going to be a humanitarian catastrophe on a large scale, but thankfully they’ll integrate well.
Can we FINALLY use this as a reason to fund our asylum processes?
To help Ukraine as well, I would assume. That’s also an important thing.
That’s not gonna be an issue, and any comparison to MENA refugees is silly. Ukrainians are a much more natural fit in EU countries.
There are already millions of Ukrainian migrants in EU (only in Poland there are 1 to 2 milion of Ukrainians)
Ukrainians ***are*** Europeans.
I would think the Russians/Putin will want to put a diiferent face on this. Besides, why would a despot allow his slaves to escape?
I assume much of the refugee population will be pushed east, evacuated to Russia, where their passports will be taken and changed before they are allowed to return.
God Crisis can’t avoid that US-RU meeting
I look forward to a new wave of Gogol Bordello style bands hitting our local music venues.
That’s fine. We need to support Ukraine and the people of Ukraine against Putin anyway.
