And also, russia is already effectively seizing businesses which are trying to leave the country – the smart and/or ethical ones already left back in ’22, so the only difference this will make will be to target companies which could be defined as sponsoring russian terrorism anyway or companies which already faced losing all their russian assets regardless.
As for diplomacy – the word doesn’t mean what russians think it means. But doing this would really be an own goal in the long run.
