Any chocolate I get given around Christmastime gets kept in the tree. Dual purpose: it’s part decoration and part a place to keep it so it doesn’t take up space somewhere else. Other half thinks it is very strange but I can’t remember not doing it!

I’m sure this is an age old tradition that possibly pre dates what we now consider decorations. We definitely hung wee foil wrapped sweeties on trees in the 80s when I was wee.
