  2. Someone once said there was a time you knew what capital city you were in just by the architecture. Now most cities in most countries, all look the same.

  4. It’s crazy how different it is. This looks so… flat compared to now

  5. I lived on the South Bank very near there at that time. It’s remarkable how much the city has changed.

  6. That’s around when I left the city after living there for ten years. I’m disoriented when I visit now; it’s very different.

  7. I can’t help but think about the people in photos from a while ago. I don’t know if that’s a father and his daughter sitting on the bench, but perhaps the father is now retired and the daughter is well into her career by now.

  8. Ironically the economy was much stronger back then when there were fewer skyscrapers
