My vet currently asks me to empty the contents of my wallet. That seems to cover the bill every time.
Been in few. Local hillmans seems to be a rip off, not only they have vets scared of my rottie girl what forced me to change the vet. They doing mostly parrots and cats, but they prices are two three times more than same treatment in specialised in large animal veterinary hospital in village near by. They doing a lot of dogs, cows, horses etc. Amazing ppl and very good prices. Ec Straiton in Penkridge are amazing if anyone local in Stafford area. I’m travelling to the from Walsall and it’s well worth it.
One thing I’ll say is, don’t buy the medication from the vet surgery itself. Ask for the prescription and buy it online. Vets charge around 2-3x the price on meds etc.
Pet insurance needs to be clearer, easier to understand, and generally simpler! Car insurance is a doddle by comparison.
