Just this year on Spain there was a huge overblown “crisis” because the government approved new protections for animal welfare so wolves couldn’t be killed “just because”, and farmers were on war against it because, they said, wolves were overpopulating some zones and killing the livestock, without that much they could do if they couldn’t control/attack the wolves.
IDK, it seems this should be a topic for the experts on ecosystems and not politics/greens/farmers/redditors.
