Hello! I just wanted to ask regarding the vaccine certificates that can be accepted in Norway. I saw from here:

My partner is traveling fully vaccinated however his certificate does not have QR code. There were options:
1. Fully vaccinated or has recovered from COVID-19, WITH verifiable COVID-19 certificate
2. Fully vaccinated or has recovered from COVID-19, WITHOUT verifiable COVID-19 certificate

— This means he will be under the “without verifiable COVID-19 certificate”,right?
So it means he can still enter however, he will have to quarantine? Cause it says in the 2nd option:

“You are required to take a test for SARS-CoV-2 before arrival in Norway. You must present a certificate showing a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2. The approved test methods are PCR or a rapid antigen test. The test must have been taken less than 24 hours before arrival in Norway.

Requirement to get tested upon arrival. You must take a test for SARS-CoV-2 at the border crossing point in Norway. If there is no test centre at the border, the test centre is closed, or the authorities have given instructions not to take the test at the border crossing point, you are under an obligation to get tested at a different test centre or to take a self-test within 24 hours of arrival. If the rapid antigen test or self-test return a positive result, you must take a PCR test as soon as possible, and no later than within 1 day. People over the age of 12 must wear a face covering when it is not possible to avoid close contact with other people until they have received a negative test result.

Requirement of travel quarantine if you come from an area that triggers a duty to quarantine. You can end travel quarantine early following a negative PCR test taken no sooner than 3 days after arrival. “

  1. US vaccine certificates are just a piece of paper that anyone can print on their own printer at home. These are not accepted as proof of vaccination for the purpose of entering Norway.

    This means he has to follow the rules you copied into your post. Don’t forget about the entry registration, which you didn’t copy.

  2. Yes with a CDC card you quarantine.

    You can also pay $20 to a Swiss service who will give you the EU QR code from your cdc card.
