  2. It has been the same past 75 years…the world intervene demanding a ceasefire to have the conflict heat up few years later instead of letting the losers surrender so they can rebuild and have peace at last…how many civilian death before Hamas surrender should be the question…

  3. Hamas is not a government and Palestine is not a state. They are not a part of the world order that can be pressured through typical means of international relations. Calling for them to surrender is pure virtue signaling that accomplishes nothing. One could say “this conflict could be over if one side gave up” about every conflict in human history, from global war to an argument between friends. It’s a completely meaningless thing to say.

  7. The entire Arab League and many other countries/leaders are only interested in Palestinians being Israel’s problem. They don’t care for peace, human rights or any of that. It’s just a stick to beat/delegitimize Israel with.

    They all know a cease-fire is temporary at best, until Hamas regains confidence.

  10. As if Hamas would listen to what anyone demands. All these jerkoff politicians worried about the language used in any resolution meanwhile civilians are being massacred because the Israelis treat the Palestinian civilians as less than human.

    No-one outside of Israel is going to have any sympathy for Israel by the time this is over unless a Palestinian state comes into existence.

  11. If you could stop massacring Palestinians that’d be great. I’m not expecting Hamas to be a willing partner in the peace process, I don’t think that’s a reasonable expectation for an extremist terrorist organization.

  13. Israel shit the bed on having any moral high ground. Their brazen countermeasures really make it difficult to call out Hamas when Israel is dwarfing the body count.
    The the more Israel racks up in innocent Palestinians lives, the more distance other nations are going to make themselves. They had their chance at a legitimate cause right after Oct. 7th but blew it by killing 20k Palestinians.

  14. You absolutely should never drop 2kIB bombs on masses of regular people. But the people who are hiding behind those people’s deaths for personal gain and ideology are also pretty fucking despicable. These are not contradictory ideas and I wish people would internalize both.

    But in the meantime women and children will pay the price and hatred for Israel (and by association Jews) grows around the world.

    Thinking they will just give up and hand over the hostages shows how divorced from reality you are.

    The Israelis know that will never happen and are happy to keep the whole thing going.

    I thought Putin was a lock for asshole of the year but it seems like Netanyahu has gone and outdone him.
