Parents made a list of everything they want to watch over Christmas. Gonna have to pick my battles here…

  1. How they going to watch the top 2 at the same time…..keep switching the channel….or is the VCR coming out?

  2. Aww! The writing says ‘old person’. The Audience with Kylie says ‘not old person’ 😁.

  3. When I saw Lucy Worsley I thought, ‘OK so far…’
Then I saw the rest. Lucy I will always happily watch.
    Definitely none of the rest….

  4. What is it about on-demand don’t the olds understand? Bought my dad a fire stick. No chance. He still looks up TV programs in a magazine.

  5. A decent selection of wallpaper TV whilst you make, eat, and then regret a massive Christmas dinner

  6. The Christmas Lectures don’t start until Boxing Day.. did they even bother to read the Christmas Radio Times before writing that list?

  7. Oh shit I nearly forgot about the Christmas lectures, thanks for the reminder

  8. I used to hate watching the Doctor Who Christmas special live because I’d get so engrossed in it then everyone would start talking and it’s just frustrating.

Rewatching on i player later is the way.

  9. Jeeeshhh … so glad no-one in this house watches TV anymore.

I haven’t watched TV, especially over xmas for about 6 or 7 years but that list looks basically the same as back then.

  10. At least they’re getting value for their TV Licence, unlike a lot of people.

  11. I love the Christmas lectures, your parents have at least some good taste

  12. Look, I’m sure they won’t mind Mrs Brown’s Boys.

  13. Cannot wait for Dr. Who! Thanks to you and your parents to set my own reminder for it.

  14. You mean they dont just go thru the radio times with a highlighter?

  15. Bunch of the BBC shit can be watched on the iplayer at any time, you’ll be fine.

  16. I now know there is a beyond paradise on tomorrow.

    Thank you u/daveclampart‘s parents

  17. Looks like someone is using their opposite hand to write to palm it off as old people scribblings.

  18. In the olden days we’d just circle the things we wanted to watch in the radio times

  19. Need to get Dr Who off that list ASAP. What a pile of shite

  20. This is actually cute! Reminds me of my grandma circling the TV guide which I buy now only at christmas because of her.

  21. That hurts my sense of time.Twenty four hour clock is the only way to do time.

  22. Oooft that’s a rough TV schedule, I’d be drunk by the start of the first programme haha

  23. I’ve screen shot the list to remind me because those shows are all ones Mil will be happy with!

  24. Sky, Virgin, countless streaming services, physical media and still they choose to be spoonfed by the terrestrial Freeview channels. My parents are exactly the same. Dad was complaining about Gogglebox the other week saying he doesn’t know what they’re talking about because they watch things ‘we can’t get’. This despite me sharing my streaming subs with them and even their Freeview box having lots more than just the 5 terrestrial channels….

  25. My parents “entrusted” me with picking the Christmas Watching Schedule this year. In 27 years of life I have never felt so much pressure

  26. I can’t see much wrong with that tbh, although that last one’s a bit odd
