  7. The manufacturer is going to get one nasty Yelp review. There is a lot of customization done for prosthetics to fit each specific situation, so a huge chunk of that cost was labor. He’s luck he got an arm that has an elbow joint because they could’ve easily just gave him one without it.

  36. Why is he complaining he has another arm.. he can still throw a grenade/shoot with his right hand and use the prosthetic to confuse drone grenade drops, he can just drop the fake arm when a nearby explosion hits then lay down, when they fly away he just reattaches the arm and keep fighting.

It always lasts longer than they think it will, costs a 100 times more than they declare it will, and they never account for, and thus never bother, the costs to human beings, their care, their required physical adaptations (prosthetics, ramps, wheelchairs), their ongoing medical care (physical, mental, nursing, hygiene).

    30% of the politicians who vote for a war should be randomly selected to serve on the active front lines for a full tour (if they survive).
