  11. And it’s not even just about them physically fighting on the front lines but also having to (in many cases) raise a family almost solo when their partner is KIA or seriously wounded. IMHO +1 to single mums, it’s a tough job!

  15. I think some of the best drone operators would be the mothers of these children. Instead of knitting socks this winter give grandma a drone for Christmas.

  18. I have no doubt that Ukrainian women are on the front lines in ways that are unusual in war time, at least to westerners; clearly the sacrifices made by all Ukrainians are universal right now. But…not only are they tough, are all the Ukrainian women in uniform all former models?

  20. That is great and proves how capable women are. I agree with Jake Broe that if there is a new round of conscription into the Ukrainian Armed Forces that women should be included, but with the option to opt out of direct combat roles. There are many support roles that could be filled by women.

  23. Glad to see women fighting and all but they shouldn’t have to.. I feel like other countries should be sending troops to help by now..
    As a male who is still fighting age I feel shame watching this while I just sit in my living room.
