Although I cannot speak Welsh myself, I am proud of my country, and respect all those who respect our history, traditions, and our language.

We need more of this, specifically from the BBC. They cater for genders, orientations, religions, creeds and colours, in their general programming. But, never our native languages. There are specific channels for our native languages, but they should also appear prominently in BBC general programming.

  1. The BBC literally have a Welsh language radio station called radio cymru….

They also have a TV channel in Scottish gaelic called BBC Alba. And this is pretty remarkable as Scottish Gaelic is nowhere near as widespread in Scotland as Welsh is in wales.

I think the only reason we don’t have a Welsh BBC tv channel is because we already have s4c.

TV channels generally show content in one language only. The idea of mixing languages on the same channel is pretty weird to me..
