Smoked should be fine roasted. I prefer to boil in full fat cola after soaking for a few hours. Then roast it.
Boil then bake with honey an brown sugar
Boil it a few times in water, it takes away the salt each time. Then boil it in cider for a while (eg. 2ltr strongbow ). After it’s boiled slabber it in a honey & wholegrain mustard mix & add cloves. Shove it in the oven & bobs yer uncle.
Make sure and steep it in a pot of water too.

You don’t *have* to boil it but it will be very salty if you don’t
Don’t listen to anyone telling you to just cook this lol. Definitely boil a couple of times before.
