Georgia and Ukraine territories annexations shown that Russia don’t see any territory without WMD as political subjects, only as objects.
Putin and what army? Ukraine has paid a terrible price while absolutely mauling the Russian military.
I think the Russians in Transnistria need to pack up and go home now. Playtime is over.
The plan was always and always is to take the baltics, Ukraine, Romania and part of Poland.
This would close the north European gap.
It won’t happen soon but it remains the ultimate plan.
Because opening up additional fronts is the best way to win a war that you’re losing on a single front.
Makes very little sense to attack the Baltics as current situation is. Risk vs reward ratio is not that good for you when you attack nato countries.
With what army?
What are they gonna invade with? rotting weapons from the 50s?
Moldova has every reason to be terrified right now and to be keenly interested in Ukraine’s national security.
They need to focus on getting into the EU/NATO as nearly peerlesss priorities, along with de-Russification to give Russia less cover in hybrid ops.
Next time Putin leaves Russia, NATO should shoot down his plane.

People imagine that they will just send a column of tanks and try to invade the Baltic countries. Of course they won’t. It will happen gradually with partisans (terrorism) fake protests etc to destabilise first. And with an isolationist USA it will be up to an untested EU defence treaty to step in.
Why are they talking about Putin’s next target? Ukraine hasn’t lost the war yet.

That’s what I also figured. If Putins succeeds in taking out Ukraine entirely, who says he’ll stop there? He might as well go all-Soviet and start taking back all the ‘stans’ in the Middle East.

as a moldovan i’d like to make a little correction: we can’t be next because WE WERE THE FIRST to get attacked by russia in 1992, even before Georgia and Ukraine, and russia still illegaly occupies that land, the so called transnistria. You cant be next if you are the first
