  27. I have to ask, is ‘doctors without borders’ still a reliable charity? Cuz first Amnesty and now the red cross that go way to far in their pseudointellectual both siding it becomes sickening. They also seem to think it’s their responsibility to inject theirself in politics for whatever ego wanking they love to do.

    I’m looking for a large reputable charity and doctors without borders is the one that comes to mind right now.

  28. this is really tone deaf by the red cross here… mere days ago Israel attempted to re open a pause to the war for more prisoner exchanges and also for humanitarian aid to be brought into gaza during this time without fear of those aid trucks being hit with rockets. Plain and simple this is on Hamas, they started the war wit ha surprise strike on the 7th, they took prisoners, they broke the last agreement, and fucked around each day on the parameters agreed to in the exchanges, now they wont release what hostages they have left(if they are even alive at this point)… There are legitimate questions to how the IDF is conducting this war, but the war and the prisoner exchange debacle falls on the shoulders of Hamas itself

  32. I’m not sure I trust the RC when it comes to international conflicts they might profit from. I’m still not over how they helped russia kidnap Ukrainians, including thousands of children. The problem is the RC is completely above the law when they themselves participate in war crimes and they cover it up by doing good or being so integrated into countries (ie: via for-profit medical services) that nothing ever happens.

    Knowing how I am treated by aipac in the United States for supporting Palestine but being critical of Likud and Bibi (I get tortured and sold to white nationalists) I get tortured in the United States. Fuck them.

    And that they treat people with developmental disabilities like fucking children and pawns and traffic them is fucked up. They conflate things like autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergence with being “useless” and other ableist understandings of neurodivergence. Exactly what you would expect from conservatives.

    The headline is “times of Israel” interpretation of the hat the head of the Red Cross has said

    Actually read the statement

    “We insist on access”

    “Hamas says access is dependent of concessions from Israel”

    “It is up to negotiations between Hamas and Israel”

    What is inaccurate about this?

    What power does Red Cross have to provide aid and assessment if they do not know where the hostages are?

    What exactly are the people criticizing about what has been said wanting them to do?

    Nowhere in the statement is blame.

    The blame here seems to be coming FROM Israel saying “they’re not doing enough” when it’s not clear to me what else they can do.

    I don’t donate to Red Cross, I don’t plan to.

    But there is no reason for the hate here.
