Nobody could have predicted this, absolutely nobody, out of nowhere it came. Total shock!

Not sure how much benefit this would have been in reality. Were they going to build another tunnel?
Would this have ever benefited the UK. You’d have still needed the Eurostar that’s ridiculously expensive a £30 easy ticket to Paris and you get all the advantages for none of the spend.
If you look closely, you’ll notice Ukraine and Turkey are left out of these plans as well. Shocking I tell you
If we’re not part of the EU then “left out” is a bit dramatic.
The UK is left out of Australia’s rail plans. The UK is not even mentioned in Chinas plans. Canada snubs UK by developing Toronto’s road system.
