  1. Maybe people are finally realising that shouting “far right racists” at people who have legitimate and common sense views on this countries immigration policies isn’t a good idea. This is a growing problem that this country needs to get a grip on very quickly, time to have a grown-up response to this,

  2. I’m glad to see people are seeing some sense behind some sort of regulation. Lad on a thread yesterday was calling people “far right” and “Nazis” because they didn’t support turning nursing home into direct provision centre.

  3. They have literally created a whole new class of profiteering through their recklessness, and now they’re seeking to fix it through fiddling at the edges because of unintended consequences?

    This is chaos.

  4. This lads an absolute fucking tit. The time for that was a year ago.

A small cohort have been creaming the state. Its too late anyhow, we’ll need to figure out how to get state infrastructure up to speed fast.

Leo this time next year “I think we should build a new prison, maybe a few schools sure we’ll see”

Reactive and never proactive. There always has to be a crisis in Ireland for things to change. We need to change this way of thinking culturally.

  5. idk, in my city of cork one of the older student apartment blocks was converted into refugee housing and there is a huge shortage of student housing now as 300+ units got taken off the market, it was also one of the cheaper student accomodations too

  6. Didn’t he express concern that his precious banks would be upset if housing on Dublin became affordable. It might affect the rent he collects on his gaff in west Dublin.

Leo’s motto is property first, people second.

  7. Can’t wait until this Varadkar gets into government so he can implement all these solutions he keeps stating

  8. Vote him out otherwise he would turn ireland into irelandistan. Turn ireland into islamic state.

  9. So the state will be providing accommodation directly, yes? Because that’s the only viable solution to keeping people off the streets

  10. I can’t imagine the stress and frustration of working your bollocks off to get into a good university only to discover you can’t actually find a place to live anywhere near where you’re going to school. The way the government is dealing with immigration is truly embarrassing.

  11. “might”… like everything this government does, they’ll wait until it’s too late and pat themselves on the back.

  12. Similar to needing to clarify to the indoctrinated that you can criticise Israel without being Anti-Semetic, you can also criticise the govt. on their foolish policies on refugees without being anti-immigrant or “far-right”. The truly far right racists have loved this govt. I’ve sadly lost friends down their rabbit hole due to being labeled as racist 1st and then being easily led away by legitimate fascist groups. Leo did the recruiting for them.

  13. Master at looking like he’s smiling but actually frowning #cunt

  14. Aren’t private owners entitled to do what they want with their property? Strange to see FG suggesting a change in this regard. Pity they wouldn’t take the same attitude with vacant houses

  15. Why not tighten the level of people coming in? It’s not the fault of people who own hotels and nursing homes.

  16. How long was his mother pregnant with him? Surely he wanted to wait another few months to test the waters then too.
