Here in Northern Germany its 11.7°C, there is literally no snow anywhere at 53,5° latitude, it is a really warm winter here so far.

I am at the -20C in Sweden, it is accurate. Very crisp and white outside!
+2C now, getting up to +6C in the coming days. Haven’t had a proper winter for years now and -30C was a normal occurrence when I was a kid and I’m still pretty young. Stalingrad winters were kinda historically famous for being severe.
I guess the number of seasons dropped 3; spring, summer, autumn, spring, summer……
We got around 25 cm of snow yesterday, so even with temperature rising there is still 5-10 cm left even now.
Finally snow on Christmas after 10+ years.

It’s a windy (and somewhat wet) christmas eve in Belgium.
I’m at the 15C area in South East England. It’s honestly quite depressing, I don’t even need to close my windows. It’s warm enough.

But, but, Europe is freezing to death in Russian news.
Yesterday and today we had daily highs of 20 here in northwestern Italy, thanks to Foehn current. But even in the coldest days of this season I doubt any snow will stick at lower altitudes, excluding favourable local microclimates: the ground is too hot for it to stick.
Hell, snow cannons are at full capacity almost everywthere and state funds are consantly being given to ski resorts to get more of those.
It rarely ever was, at least from my experience.
We will not have a white Christmas over in Canada either.

17 today in Greece. A week ago the trees have started to loose their leafs. It feels like October.
In Hungary there hasn’t been a white christmas since 2007 and that was only in a small amount of towns. In Budapest there hasn’t been christmas eve snow since 2002..
Because of the rain (Storm Zoltan) the ground water in my region is so high that our basement has been slowly flooding. We will be organizing a night watch, Santa won’t be coming unseen tonight.
