Are you wanting to put in windows or just convert the space?
Those are very light timbers and altering any part of that truss structure could have a serious impact on the strength of the structure. I am not sure that any conversion would be straightforward
It is possible but you should seek the input of a structural engineer before you do anything. There will likely be steel beams put in to take the load. You should also go down the building control route and get it fully certified as you may make the house unsaleable with an uncertified roof space conversion. Decent loft conversion probably around £25,000. Biggest cost variables are how hard is it to get the staircase up to it to work, whether you put an en-suite up there and how many windows. Dormer being significantly more expensive than velux.
Ours cost 35k but we got two rooms out of it and needed a lot of steele.
Look up a company called Trussloft. They did mine, though I’m not sure if they cover NI.
Lots of steel, relocated tanks, dormer window for a wet room, bank of Velux for the bedroom.
