Using foreign flags during protests is probably one of the dumbest things an average Serb can do, be it EU or Russia.
It would make more sense to use some old Serbian rebellion flag from history. With foreign flags they just turn away people that dont support Russia/EU/China/West or whoever else. I understand that the flag is supposed to be a symbol, but a majority of Serbs probably couldnt explain their support for EU/Russia in 5 sentences, so the flag is kinda pointless.
Insted of using symbols, they should probably demand things that are actually possible and measurable, like improved education, healthcare, work conditions etc… Not just mindlessly screaming EU or Russia, like the majority of people in Serbia do.
Who won the election? What are their ideological beliefs? Are these protests similar to the riots that happened in the US and Brazil?
The problem is that the EU is supporting the curent autocrat regime. We call it “stabilokratija” in Serbia. This means they tolerate Vucic and his autocracy and he slowly recognizes Kosovo, bit by bit, but pretends that he does not, and in return he does and he pleases and Serbian instututions and politics serve only his party and nobody else. He actually gave out helicopter money before elections, blackmails people to photograph their voting ballot and prove loyalty to the party, controls almost all the media, buses of voters from other countries come to vote, relocates voters to key areas before elections etc etc.
In my opinion, one of the main problems is the EU support that he gets. Kosovo is an unsolvable problem for most Serbs, and an autocrat can provide peace and cooperation in exchange for EU tolerance for things that could land any other EU politician in jail.
The anti EU sentiment, and the pro-Russian sentiment are all astro-turf brain wash campaigns of Vucic-s party.

During my very first day in Belgrade in september 2022, there was a big anti-LGBT/anti-EU/pro-Putin parade.
Interesting how tables have turned.
Serbia is nowhere near joining. Too much pro-russian and anti NATO sentiment.
As long as the Kosovo affair isn’t settled there’s no hope for an EU Serbia.
No matter the efforts, no matter the protests
It’s not a pro-EU protest. There only one or two EU flags and the protests are not about the EU at all.
Cool but if some miracle happens and Serbia joins the EU it will be only a matter of time before they become the next Hungary.

Lmao I find it ironic that a movement that calls themselves anti violence, is currently violently trying to steal elections. Hopefully those politicians that are responsible for this get their salary deducted for damages so that the common man doesnt have to pay. Also like in the case of US capital storming, I hope people get arrested and trialed for what they are trying to do.
Based serbs?!
Don’t get your hopes up, this country has no future. If you are pro-EU, move there. If you think family and friends are worth of staying in this miserable country, that’s fine, but do not think for a second that Serbia will become prosperous EU democracy in near future.
If they are pro-EU that means they are pro recognition of Kosovo as an Independent State. Right?
Hopefully, the Vučić regime will finally come to an end.
That’s a lovely sight to see. Fellow EU Lithuanian. Need more Serbians embracing Europe! Good 👍

How many people are taking part?
Unfortunate how EU support has been on a downward trend in serbia. I remember the massive pro-russia protests as well.
These people are fighting an uphill battle and I believe serbia needs a few generations worth of fundamental changes before they are ready.
Edit: Here are the massive pro-russian protests since a lot of you are asking. Btw, Google exists

Something might finally happen. If anyone wants to tune in to the livestream of the local news that are covering the protests here you go.

Fair warning it’s in Serbian.
