I expect them to make their ruling based on the outcome of the 2024 election. Wouldn’t want to give unrestrained powers to a Democratic president, would they.
Harlan Crow to have outsized infliuence in 2024 election.
There’s nothing requiring them to hear Trump’s eventual appeal. I wonder if they’ll just punt to avoid it.
“The prospect is especially fraught for the chief justice, John Roberts, who is known to be sensitive about public opinion and keen to keep the court above the political ruckus.”
That’s funny. I’ve been laughing for what, 8 years?
Fucking nerd
So the fix is in?
Late stage capitalistic puppets
The fact that trump ‘the obvious clown’ hasn’t already been relegated to a punch line speaks volumes about the collective IQ of this once great – now bloated consumer clown show. We sadly chose cool over educated 50yrs ago.
SCOTUS will have an even more outsized influence in 2024 election than say 2000?
The headline alone made me laugh, I agree though this development is likely very distressing to him personally.
The US is going to stop being an elected representative democracy and be ruled by a legal system run by a theocratic court. Won’t even need a president. Or elections. Election outcomes, district maps, and even voter-approved referenda are constantly challenged in court. We’ll soon not even need the voting part.
Seems like a competition for which branch is most corrupt.
So what happened here? They rejected the expedited ruling?
41% approval rating seems high
SC give Trump immunity to passively grant Biden immunity and prepare to lose your jobs. if Republicans try and act funny we know they are in cahoots with insurrectionist and Russia easily removed with an immune President.
The Supreme Court is showing its ineptitude in so many ways. Regardless of what one thinks about Trump, there is no question that there are significant Constitutional issues that need to be resolved, and sooner rather than later. First, is the president immune from criminal prosecution for acts he took while in office? Second, do Trump’s actions on January 6 disqualify him from office under the 14th Amendment? My personal opinion is no on the first and yes on the second, but I’m not on the Supreme Court. We need to have an answer to these questions.
My immediate family is saying that trump is persecuted and will get vengeance on all of the people who went after him.
My wife says, “oh no is he going to come after me for not buying his shitty products?”
Got a lot of laughs but my god I am glad I live in MA.
The actual stolen and illegitimate branch of government that was put in place by the deep state (aka The Federalist Society).
Pack the court.
No they wont.
The states should IGNORE all pro-Trump decisions.
Any pro-Trump decisions should be seen as SIDING WITH AN INSURRECTIONIST
I would not be surprised if this current court decided Trump was immune, but declare it is not binding precedence and no take backsies.
That’s like saying that reading the speed limit sign has an outsized influence on the speed of the car. The signs are already there, what they say is unambiguously clear, we all know what they mean, and there are still some assholes who insists that they say something else.
Once again, shouldn’t be in place for lifetime
Only thing that might, just might, save us from abusive and corrupt, King Trump bootlickers that is the Conservatives Supremes is whatever decision the make for Trump will also benefit Biden and future Democrat presidents.

Screaming into enormous piles of money. We’re talking [huge piles](https://www.forbes.com/sites/nicholasreimann/2023/04/28/chief-justice-john-roberts-wife-made-over-10-million-as-legal-consultant-report-says/?sh=7ff905301e9a) here.
Roberts is lucky as hell that Thomas and Alito are so outrageously corrupt that his own corruption pails in comparison.
Oh, and people who are that corrupt don’t actually give a shit about anything besides their own piles of cash
