I mean they had a chance to get super crazy discount on Russian crude but they blew it. They didn’t use their leverage on Russia enough. when they are the 2nd largest customer with more than 3mbp of import.
If they took a take it or leave approach with Russia. Russia oil has very little room to negotiate.
Indian Minister was boasting about great discounted Russia oil but it only turn out to be a few dollars discount. They need to work on making ‘great discount’ greater.
