  1. As Latvian I am glad that we can help in as many ways as possible but am still ashamed and frustrated at my fellow countrymen for retarded attitude on drink driving and general lacklustre road culture

  2. If this was a widely accepted process of dealing with drunk drivers imaging how positively this would impact let’s just say Europe alone where drunks would think twice before driving with a perspective of losing their own car. Now imaging the impact on UA with such amount of cars coming from various countries, maybe something governments should consider. Seems like a win win to me!

  3. All vehicles, regardless of type? I think it would be better to give only a few that make sense, and better sell the rest on the market and donate the money. I’d say they need a lot of cars, and ones that are 4×4 and have space for supplies or wounded. If Latvia confiscates e.g. a Porsche 911 Turbo, this would be silly to donate as car, but if sold, the money could buy tens of used 4×4 SUVs or Pickups.

  4. Latvian Citizen: “I’m here to claim my car”

    Latvian PD impound: “what car??”

  5. Two birds with one stone.

Drunk drivers can’t drive anymore without a car and the russians are getting fucked. Win win for civilized society.
