  1. Let’s hope this is true. If so, it could be the beginning of the end.

    Historically, this can spread fast. It happened in Russia in 1917 and in France in 1940 for instance, so it can happen.

    And you have to be a pretty stupid Russian soldier to not realize that Putin has lied about everything and simply does not care if you live or die.

  2. Agreed. Ukraine needs a break now. Shifting to defense makes a whole lot of sense. Use time to let Putin break his back on your strong front.

    For a long time I have felt this has been NATO strategy all along. Let Russia waste itself on Ukraine. The lingering the fight goes the weaker Russia is.

    Twice Preston Stewart (great y tube commentator) has alluded to the same suspicion.

  3. I wonder if the prisoner swaps being paused makes them more likely to surrender, since they don’t think they’ll immediately be thrown back into the meat-grinder again
