No, Russia hasn’t ‘invaded’ Kazakhstan

  1. Yes? Beside the clumsy declaration of Blinken, who ever said it was the case?

Sounds like a massive strawman. Russia doesn’t need to invade Kazakstan.

  2. The whole article is just a one fat straw man argument. Nobody said anything about Russia invading Kazakhstan. This is just dictators helping each other to crush people’s uprising. Putin helped Lukashenko to crush 2020-2021 uprising in Belarus, now Putin and Lukashenko helped to crush uprising in Kazakhstan. Whatever tools they use to achieve this objective , CSTO or not, is absolutely irrelevant to the plight of people living under these dictatorships. Of course you shouldn’t expect anything else from the author of the article, Mary Dejevsky, who is the member of russian “Valday club”. Valday Club operates under the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC ), a think tank that was founded by the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science in 2010.

RIAC aims – “Our aim is to provide analyses and forecasts of global risks and opportunities for the benefit of Russian diplomacy, businesses, educational centers, public organizations, and their foreign peers.”
