Many of us are not happy with the current situation in Congress. While you may donate to Ukrainian causes, this helps; however, this is not all we can do. We need to unleash the US coffers. 2024 is a major election year.

You have two objectives this next year: if you are not registered to vote, get registered at [vote.gov](https://vote.gov). **Secondly, actually show up to vote**. Statistically, we who support Ukraine donate, post on social media, but when it comes time to vote, we sit on our asses and don’t go to the polls, where Putin supporters win because of our laziness. Get off your asses for one day and make this a New Years Resolution.

  1. As a fellow American, I approve of this message!

  2. One point I forgot to make. If you are registered to vote, check if it is actually valid. Many GOP states cleanse their registered voter rosters if you do not vote in a certain number of the past elections. You will need to re-register. Follow the links on [vote.gov](https://vote.gov). Remember, this last presidential election was won by a number of votes less than you can fill an NFL stadium with. That was with unheard of Democratic turnout. It is ours to win or ours to lose and have Trump back in office who will auction off Europe and Ukraine for a hotel deal on the Black Sea.

  3. Which election did we not show up and vote for Ukraine war aid

  4. I vote every time. I’ll be there. And I tell my friends.

  5. Vote, and also get others to vote. Showing up to vote is key to helping our country. It’s a fundamental civic duty, and a great service to our nation. Getting others to vote is going above and beyond. If we’re not willing to put in the extra work, Republicans definitely will. Putin wins when Republicans are elected. Don’t forget that.

  6. I’m glad the MODs have let this post stand.
    Thank you.
    Slava Ukraini 🙏🇺🇦

  7. Best line about voting I ever heard, “Either you help write the menu, or you are on the menu.”

It’s not just ourselves and our country this year, it’s freedom around the world at stake. Apathy is, in fact, support for Ruzzia.

  8. Anyone have Mike Johnson’s email? I’m not in his district but also want to send him messages specifically and his web site basically doesn’t let me have access. (I’m already sending my reps messages. )

  9. Remind them that we promised to help protect Ukraine as a part of the deal for them to give up their nukes.

  10. Where do you get the info that we anti-Trumpers don’t vote? Not in my neighborhood

  11. Absolutely this. Unless you vote all of your donations and support mean nothing. There is a massive anti-Ukraine movement amongst the right. They think Zelensky is corrupt and that Putin is not the best but he’s strong. They will not vote for any further funding for Ukraine just when they are getting the tools to turn the tide here.

Speak to your friends that agree but don’t vote, get them to the polls. Every single vote counts.

  12. As a Canadian, I feel like the neighbour peering over the fence waiting for the U.S. the “cut their overgrown lawn” so to speak…

I hope that Congress and the government can get it together and send some real help!

Cheers to a proactive 2024. Slava Ukraini!

  13. Thank you both Mods & Op from the UK, This is an event of world importance.
