Hi We’re a family of four who have moved to Bulgaria from England. We bought our land two years ago, two acres with three barns and a derilect house on the outskirts of a rural village for £4000. Unable to afford the rising cost of rent in England, we took the jump and followed a long dream to live Off Grid, spending more time together as a family. To keep costs down, we are completing all the work ourselves. For years we have watched others share their Off Grid journey and now it’s our turn. Being on Reddit does not exactly qualify as being off grid, does it? 😅
Joke aside, what do you mean by that? I honestly can’t believe it’s possible for a person sub-60s to live without any form of digital communication nowadays. I got no facebook, instagram, tik-tok accounts and sometimes i feel i’m a bit too far behind meself but generally find my life a bit improved after deleting all those apps from my phone. Not having any access to the internet is rather implausible for me tho.
