China now appears to be bringing this gesture of trust to an end and this may reflect spiralling international relations with the West – as Sky’s Helen-Ann smith reports.

  19. What a crock of BS.. Oh yes, we all love the Pandas , but what about the elephants,rhinos, tigers and all the other species of animals that the Chinese eat ? Eat and drink tiger bones and the flesh. I’ve never tasted any of the above, must check at the Chinese Embassy where I can source these products in good old England. I’ve always wondered what the best bits are on a Panda….

  20. One could look at it this way. XJP and the CCP are animal abusers. Taking advantage of an endangered animal for political points. The CCP really only cares about how useful these creatures are to forwarding their goals, not how to make them not endangered in their own habitat. If countries refused to host them until they are no longer endangered, the CCP would have a problem.
