Your cheese wine and champagne certainly does help with our celebrations.
That tinsel type stuff thrown on the tree.. Was talking to my mam today, she said she put some of that on the tree about 20 years ago and new bits keep popping up every year!
Mate, Reddit is used by middle class England and you aren’t going to convince them that something might actually be as good as or better than the continent.

When I was at school we were told the French make Christmas dinner an all day thing, with loads of courses several hours each apart. Was any of that true?
Your in-laws definitely shop at Waitrose.
Who doesn’t love explosives at the dinner table
We got the trees from the Germans tbf
I got a steak for dinner in Paris and disagreed with you on every bite.
Yknow a good Christmas is when we combine french and English ♥️ brie and yorkies.
But a GREAT Christmas, is when we get on horses and hunt the french people. And then eat brie and yorkies.
We even sneaked a fish finger on your plate
You just brought a tear to this English man’s eye 🥲
