  1. The Pentagon confirmed on Monday evening that U.S. Central Command conducted an airstrike against Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists in Iraq.

Three U.S. personnel had been injured, one critically, in a separate assault on Erbil Air Base earlier Monday, the Pentagon said, noting that the evening strike was conducted “[i]n response to multiple attacks against coalition forces in Iraq and Syria.”

“Early assessments indicate that these U.S. airstrikes destroyed the targeted facilities and likely killed a number of Kataib Hezbollah militants,” the Pentagon said in a release. “There are no indications that any civilian lives were affected. The U.S. military will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of these strikes.”

These strikes are intended to hold accountable those elements directly responsible for attacks on coalition forces in Iraq and Syria and degrade their ability to continue attacks. We will always protect our forces,” Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, U.S. Central Command commander, said in a statement on the attack.

  2. Context: Kata’ib Hezbollah in iraq is not the same as hezbollah in Lebanon. But both of them are Iranian proxies.

  3. Let’s just Wild out on all these fools. High ground includes merc’ing bad dudes

  4. Good, we should be actively conducting airstrikes in Palestine right now as well to permanently end the problem.

  5. Oh my!…. you mean to tell me Iran couldn’t shoot our precise missles down. 🙂 555.

  6. At some point we need to eradicate one of the smaller Iranian proxies in a shock and awe campaign.

  7. I DO NOT condone genocide.

Read that three more times if you have to until it sinks in…

Having said that, what do we (the world) do with citizens (non mil) of a nation that are, from childhood, educated by everyone around them to hate. How do you fix that without invasion and immediate “correction” of their entire education system; of their entire way of life? Because for these people it is their entire ideology and they don’t give a fuck if they die for it.

  8. Hezbollah should stop poking the bear and figure out how to live peaceful lives. (If they want to live)

  9. anyone know the reaction to this in Iraq?

Are they ok with us striking Iranian proxy groups in their country?

  10. Bet we made those knuckle draggers think the ground was opening up to unleash the armies of Hell on then.

  11. That man sure looks like he’s permanently sick of having to deal with everyone’s shit.

  12. Iran will fund terrorists and militias to cause trouble, but won’t take the refugees from Palestine. So much for the Muslim brotherhood.

  13. Can we just call proxies by their real name? Iran attacks us troops in Iraq and caught a missile in Iraq.

  14. Dang. Seeing how effective drones are, and how you can see the attack and its effectiveness with such clarity makes me feel sad it’s happening to our troops.

  15. Getting drug into more fights because the Jews are jerks. Great

  16. We pay enough taxes that we shouldn’t have to be putting up with Iran anymore.

  17. Literally nothing.

The Iranian leadership that has been installed in Iraq need to all be, one-by-one, kill-listed. And this will be a popular decision universally.

  18. They shoot at you, you can shot back.

Finally, those sailors wanted this weeks ago.

  19. The boomer generation is absolutely destroying the world. These people have been a demonstrable cancer on society. World War III has begun
