Yes but think about how this could delay the inevitable transition to solar wind and battery- and line oil major pockets. Isn’t that what really matters? I bet they could even convince a local gov to pay for it.
Hydrogen is really really bad for our planet.
The way it’s produced today is 80 times worse for the environment than carbon 😞
Green hydrogen makes a lot more sense if it created with surplus electricity from wind farms and solar farms. It is transported more efficiently if it is mixed with natural gas as less than 20% hydrogen and distributed through existing natural gas pipes. Residual natural gas appliances can handle that mix with no change. Commercial users could filter the hydrogen out of the natural gas and use the pure hydrogen or use the pure natural gas or use the mix depending on their needs.
