Just a reminder that it’s still 100% legal to irrigate land in California to produce animal feed (alfalfa or pasture), and that accounts for 22% of farm water usage in the state. Also produces only 3% of agricultural revenue.
They do it in Singapore to great effect.
You would think that with the ocean right there they’d have everything they need – water to desalinate, the ability to make the power to do so…
To be fair, all the water we drink has passed through some bodily orifice at some point or other.
