Hey hey! Just back from Finland, from speaking with friends who live there and guides I met, I got this basic list of Finnish facts.

Fun post! I’ve got a few points here though.
Suomi doesnt come from ”suomaa” and people usually tell that jokingly because something like 70% of the countey is swampland. IIRC the real origin for the name is not known but linguists have disproven most of the theories.
Also, Germans didint occupy Finland. They occupied just lapland in 1944 after we broke our alliance with them.
