  4. It’s likely that at least for India the reason it is buying cheap oil isn’t because it supports Russia’s war against Ukraine, but because it is pro India – a country with still many millions of people living in poverty.

  5. So you expect the world to give up on 10% of the world’s oil supply like it was nothing? The hard truth is that Russian oil has to be used, otherwise oil price would skyrocket. Rather than being mad at India, you should be mad at OPEC countries for not ramping up production to offset this problem. They could, they simply don’t care since they’re dictatorships themselves. Moreover, India is buying oil with rupees, which is basically useless for international trades.

  11. Usa sanctioned Venezuela and Iran’s oil so india should Either buy oil from russia or middle east. Russia’s trustworthy unlike middle east, so being dependent on middle east for oil is bad for india.

  12. The initial idea was that by forcing Ruskia to sell their oil extremely cheap, we’d want countries like India and China to buy and prevent the Ruskies from making significant profit.
