Turkey says hit Kurdish militant targets in Syria after 12 soldiers killed

Turkey hit around 50 targets used by Kurdish militants in Syria in retaliation for the 12 Turkish soldiers that were killed in Iraq over the weekend, a source from the National Intelligence Agency said on Tuesday (December 26).

The targets were located in Syria’s Qamishli, Ain Al Arab (Kobani) and Amuda and were facilities used for military, economic and logistics purposes by the Kurdish militants, the person said.

Turkish National Intelligence Agency released a video on Tuesday which it said showed Turkish security forces hitting facilities and bases used by Kurdish militants in Syria.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the location or the date when the video was filmed.

On Saturday (December 23), Turkey’s defence ministry said 12 Turkish soldiers were killed during fighting with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, prompting Ankara to conduct a barrage of strikes there and in Syria.

  1. Remember when your obese niece with blue hair and nose piercings screamed you all down, saying if we don’t vote for Biden, we’ll be empowering OPEC and the Middle East, cause massive inflation, crash the economy, and create the conditions for WW3? (Interesting).

  2. Just for 12 soldiers?? Israel lost 1200 people, but you abdols want them do nothing and pretend like nothing happened.?

  3. USA failed the Kurds by taking their resources and promising security and Israel failed Palestinians by taking their land and providing security.
