>“It took me off guard, because I loved working with my Mayim and I’m gonna miss her,” Jennings told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Tuesday. “I can’t speak to her decision-making process or her opinions about it. But on my end, I’m just a fan of Jeopardy! and I’m always delighted to host when they call upon me. I just feel extremely lucky to have even been considered for this job as a non-broadcaster.”
But it wasn’t her decision. Sony is the one that decided to remove her…
It wasn’t surprising. It’s a show about facts and correct answers. And the host is peddling brain “boosters” and anti vaxx nonsense. How can you compete in a show like this, knowing the host is factually dumber at a basic level?
As someone from outside the US, please can someone explain to me why a quiz show has so many headlines on Reddit news? Are American Redditors just obsessed by it, or is it a fascination amongst Americans generally?
Oh thank glob already. I don’t even watch the show and I’m glad I can stop hearing about her unwanted hosting and general quack-science grifting.
I enjoyed Mayim’s stint, but it always felt temporary. She is a star and that quality tends to overwhelm her presence at the podium. She is also very opinionated and outspoken. I like they about her.
However, I like my hosts bland enough to meld back into the woodwork, to not overshadow the game or the contestants, and smart enough to have become a champion.
I liked her much better. Ken has zero personality.
I’m always gonna laugh that she felt so entitled to put “I was nominated for an Emmy!”. Good riddance. Bye girl.
I didn’t find her actively offensive like some people, but I thought she was profoundly mediocre, and showed very little improvement over her tenure.
Good. She was insufferable. Anyone with sense knew that going in
>“As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news. Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy! I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family. For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.”
I think from her comment and Sony’s, she was definitely let go but both are being classy about it. I appreciate that.
She promotes delaying or straight up not giving kids vaccines. Does that make her explicitly anti-vaxx? probably not, but it definitely is suggestive of her views on the matter…
The jeopardy host should be apolitical and unaffiliated with anything more controversial than coke vs. pepsi.
Man’s who entire life is jeopardy says he didn’t know what was happening on jeopardy. Press X to doubt. Something tells me he didn’t get a midnight phone call asking him to host. I’m guessing he got a few days earlier call asking if he could host so they knew they had a replacement if they intended to remove Mayim.

That said, she made a lot of [incredibly annoying people very angry](https://www.algemeiner.com/2023/07/19/entertainment-site-suggests-mayim-bialiks-support-for-zionism-makes-her-racist/) by virtue of her simply being Jewish, so that *somewhat* offset her flaws.
