If I’m not mistaken (and I probably am) I thought the whole crossing yourself gesture is more of a Catholic thing than Russian Orthodox. I wonder if that might be one of those happy Cuban volunteer guys we saw last week – now entering the “finding out” phase.

I watch this subreddit from time to time, but not enough to really understand how drone pilots react to stuff like that and what the “laws” during wars really boils down to. I often stay away from it because as much as I dislike this nonsensical war, I often see russian conscripts depicted as “pigs” or “orcs” when they are just trying to survive in a living hell and likely not wanting to torture anyone specifically.
So I’ve been wondering for a few weeks now about this situation : If you are a russian soldier and you spot a ukrainian drone above your head, how do you simply say “I give up, take me as a prisoner, don’t explode me” ?
I saw dozens of videos of russians/wagner conscripts getting blown up in some way or another even when they aren’t doing anything (most of them are scared) and I assume the videos are trending mostly because of this, but I don’t recall seeing any video of a drone standing still over russian soldiers until ukrainians “capture” him.
Is this something that happens, or is there simply no way for ukrainians to do that ? Thanks in advance 🙂

if you’re a Russian soldier in Ukraine, even god won’t help you because god knows if he showed up the Ukrainians would fight him too.
These Russian soldiers are being thrown in a meat grinder to be slaughtered. Yes Ukrainian take losses but it has to be 10 dead Russians for every Ukrainian hero
