Drivers have been stranded in the snow for hours, rail passengers told not to travel and thousands left without power as Storm Gerrit hits the UK.

A major incident has been declared on the A9 in the Scottish Highlands, where a queue of cars is stuck in thick snow.

  1. My Shogun on snow tyres would drive through that like it wasn't there, people have to stop going to remote areas in winter not equipped to cope

  2. have a quick tyre check and see how many of them numptys are driving round the scottish highlands in december on winter tyres, not many i bet

  3. Just wait until we all have electric cars in this kind of weather. Those batteries aren’t going to cope with intense cold. There will be deaths.
