It’s an interesting place for sure. Look up Sternburg + Lützschena. Yeah, that’s right. The Sternburg ‚Sterni‘ beer.
But it’s really not a place particularly linked to East Germany or vibes like OP wrote. It’s very much a place with a historic link to a tale of a 19th century industrialist and innovator and a post world war 2 story of a socialist policy of land reform to transform a park into a forest for wood use(?).
Nowadays it’s a rather nice landscape park with remenats of 19th century parc design ideals.
