How vital is US military aid to Ukraine?
How vital is Ukraine to the US? Not in the least. Maybe it's vital to Europe. So let Europe prop it up.
However, important, it may be, it’s not more important than who’s signing up in Ukraine. They’ve got conscription, and that’s one thing they shouldn’t need in this allegedly existential situation. It’s up to them though. Who are we to tell them that Ukraine is worth fighting for? I don’t think we have any such place to say.
USA will provide aid also in the future. But Europe must prepare that USA aid may diminish. We have to reinforce our own military production.
Cold, hard, uncaring truth is that the US already has it subjective. Did some harm to Russia, got rid of the pipeline, and helped separate EU and Russia. Whatever else happens now is gravy for Washington. Ukraine could fold next week and it’s OK.

The recent loss of major Russian maritime assets is hurting the Kremlin and Putin in particular. The future loss of their newly commissioned aircraft carrier AK, will undoubtedly convince Russia enough is enough.
