A long-range variant, the Popeye Turbo, is reported to be nuclear-capable. A submarine version converted to a cruise missile has been developed. Few details are publicly known about the Popeye missile’s latest capabilities. Some military writers say it has the same capabilities as the American tomahawk cruise missile.
